"Borrowing" Web 2.0 Videos: How to Download & Convert Video
To "borrow" a video clip from a video sharing network, you’ll need to download the video and convert it to a format supported by your editing program. See below the techniques that can help you.
1. Online video conversion service:
a. http://vixy.net/ (Paste in the URL of the YouTube video, select a format, then download a converted video.)
b. http://www.zamzar.com/ (Paste in the URL of the YouTube video, select a format, then provide your email address. You’ll get a message containing a link to download the converted video.)
2. Install a Video Downloader add-on in your Firefox browser (DownloaderHelper and/or Flash Video Resources Downloader).
3. Install a video converter application on your home computer or laptop (from www.download.com).
